Things are falling into place, the stronghold is being reinforced, protection are getting put in place. We are not making you wait for nothing  Walker. You either accept us or you don't. Choices.... Choices... They are yours to make. Mother has said you were ready. Are you ready Walker? -T

 No one expected that the wards wouldn't last that long in keeping him away. At least the wards are helping  The Walker stay in control. Apparently our invitation was fully read.  So we wait until we can show her that this isn't the first time. While it might hurt her, she will understand.  We can't waste more time. The more time we waste the more people fall prey to it.
